ALUULA, the makers behind high-performing composite materials that are ultralight, strong and recycle-ready, is becoming more in-demand for its fabric across industries.

In a recent interview with Techcouver, newly appointed president and CEO, Sage Berryman, shared that while ALUULA started out in wind sports, it’s now working with a number of brands to develop materials for applications in outdoor gear and aerospace.

ALUULA is particularly seeing an uptake with “big-ticket brands” in the outdoor arena. Berryman shared for this vertical, it had zero brands signed last year and that it expects to have up to 12 signed by the end of the year. To date, ALUULA has already signed partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands, such as Arc’teryx and Black Diamond.

Along with more partnerships, ALUULA is focused on improving the full life cycle of its products and noted it’s been making solid progress in helping its industry become more sustainable.
