Douglas Street-based Premier Cloud named to Canada's top-growing companies list
The Globe and Mail recently released its Top Growing Companies list for 2022. 67 B.C. firms made this year's list, representing a wide range of industries, including many in technology. Out of that batch, two Victoria businesses, a cloud services provider and construction services company, made the cut. Here they are.
Founded in 2001, Premier Cloud specializes in delivering cloud services and solutions to small- and medium-sized business and enterprise clients across North America. Specifically, the company helps other businesses migrate, collaborate, and scale by leveraging Google Cloud.

By the numbers: With just over 20 employees, its three-year revenue growth rate was 170 percent, and its 2021 revenue was between $5 million and $10 million.
Of note: Last year, the company advanced to Google Cloud Premier Partner status, a designation that represents the highest status a Google Cloud Partner can achieve.
Fun fact: Current chief executive officer Daniel Azad started at the company in 2012 as a support specialist. He then rose through the ranks to become vice president of sales before becoming CEO in April of 2022.
The other Victoria firm on The Globe & Mail’s list is Banyan Group of Companies, which had a three-year revenue growth rate of 5,463 percent, more than $25 million in 2021 revenue, and 76 employees.
