Lockheed Martin picks Victoria’s RaceRocks to upgrade its training solutions

RaceRocks — the Indigenous, women-owned training and software company based in Victoria — has teamed up with Lockheed Martin to modernize the global defence tech company’s training solutions.

Through a $1.6 million partnership, the duo are set to develop an adaptive learning engine, build out Lockheed’s total learning architecture, and contribute to the growth of RaceRocks’ Adenine platform. Adenine is a learning environment for multiple people, which focuses on delivering individualized, immersive experiences.

The initiative is also intended to support research and development efforts in the Canadian aerospace and defence industry, and advance tech solutions for training. That includes immersive simulations, AI-driven adaptive learning tools, and training and learning systems.

The two organizations also counted workforce development amongst the benefits of the partnership, with the creation of new jobs, internships, and apprenticeships in areas like training design, technology development, and business support.

RaceRocks’ other partners include some big names, including the federal and provincial governments, the Canadian Armed Forces, Boeing, and Thales.

Earlier this year, the company announced a $3 million investment from Raven Indigenous Capital Partners.
