Redpoint Ventures investor shares startup growth insights from the Island and online
Redpoint Ventures is an investing giant. The venture capital firm has written cheques to communication-tool darling Twilio, finance innovator Ramp, data leader Snowflake, and fintech behemoth Stripe, among many other startup juggernauts. The firm’s reach across the investing landscape is not unexpected – it’s managing upwards of $4 billion in assets. But what many do find intriguing is the fact that Jason Warner, one of the managing directors, calls Victoria, B.C. home.
Local founders would do well to take notice, as Warner’s value to the ecosystem goes beyond the cheques he writes. He’s also a prolific content creator and frequently shares advice with entrepreneurs through his YouTube series, FAQs with Jason. In it, the former chief technology officer at Github answers questions on topics like “How to make your team go faster?” and “What tech stack should you use?” They’re short, substantive, and a must-watch for anyone looking to level up their business acumen.
